Overnight tree fire in Hall County doused in quick fashion

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

Fast reaction time by safety officials in Hall County keeps an area north of Lyman Hall Elementary School safe from harm overnight.

A post by Hall County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) social media page says they were called to divert traffic away from Memorial Park Drive after 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, due to a tree fire.

Memorial Park Road was closed in both directions just north of Lyman Hall Elementary School while Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) crews extinguish and removed a burning tree in the area.

The cause for the fire has not been released, but the HCSO post says the quick action by HCFR members was able to completely douse the fire and clear the area by 12:45 a.m.
