Habersham County Board of Commissioners has elected its 2024 chairman and vice-chairman with no major changes from its 2023 leadership.
During Tuesday's meeting, commissioners elected District 5 Commissioner Ty Akins as chairman. Akins also served in the role of chairman in 2023.
District 1 Commissioner Bruce Harkness was elected to serve as vice chairman. He also served as vice chairman in 2023.
Other returning members of the Habersham County Commission include Bruce Palmer, Dustin Mealor and Jimmy Tench.
