By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

Three weeks after a man police say was the leader of a Metro Atlanta car theft ring was arrested, Gwinnett County police have now identified a second suspect in the crimes.

Javaris Gamble, age 22 of East Point, was arrested by Forest Park authorities in early September and was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail. He faces charges related to at least 30 Entering Auto and Motor Theft crimes in one case alone from June.

On Tuesday, Gwinnett police issued charges against Randy Daniel Martinez, age 23 of East Point, related to similar crimes. Police issued 37 Entering Auto warrants against Martinez for a case that allegedly occurred on August 31.

Martinez has not been arrested and his location is not known at this time. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Gwinnett police or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
