Police make arrest in 2022 Suwanee homicide

Suwanee homicide case from 2022 finally has an arrest.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD), they made contact with the New York Police Department (NYPD) regarding a connection between a suspect under investigation in their jurisdiction and the unsolved homicide case from 2022.

The suspect reportedly shared details about the homicide case that were not made public.

That homicide is the one that took the life of 44-year-old Matthew Jones of Suwanee on Sep. 5, 2022 after he was reportedly stabbed. 

Authorities identified the suspect as 20-year-old Delano Hill from Suwanee.

Hill was arrested on March 21 and transported to police headquarters. 

He was interviewed and then booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder charges.
