White County graduates members from their Emergency Response training program

The White County Emergency Management's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) has announced its graduation of 5 individuals from its Search and Rescue Basic Training.

These individuals participated in a 60-hour course where they learned Search and Rescue Technique, Land Navigation, Wilderness First Aid, Man-tracking, and usage of the SarTopo Platform.

According to a release from White County's Public Information Office, White County CERT's Search and Rescue Team completed over 620 hours of training just over the past month alone. 

David Murphy, Director of White County Public Safety comments on this accomplishment, "A special congratulations goes out to these graduates.
 
Not only did these individuals complete CERT Basic Training, but they then specialized to join the Search and Rescue team."
