Now-finished Cumming City Center to host Art Fest again in September

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

For the second year in a row, the Cumming Art Fest will be coming to the Cumming City Center in September.

This year, the festival is hoping to take advantage of the now-fully-completed center.

“We are excited that this year the City Center will have stores and restaurants open, which is the perfect backdrop for a great art festival," Cindy Flynn with Splash Festivals said in a release. "Last September for our first Art Fest here, the venue was not quite ready yet, but the crowds still came to support the artists and craftspeople."

The festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 16 and 17. Visitors will be able to view a variety of art, including paintings, folk art, photography, pottery, yard art, jewelry and metal sculptures.

There will also be a "Kidz Zone" with children's activities and music from strolling entertainers. More information on the festival can be found on Splash Festivals' website.
