An Atlanta-based convenience store and gas station chain is branching out.
Officials with RaceTrac, the second largest privately-held company in Georgia, say they are acquiring Gulf Oil.
While an agreement was signed and announced on Wednesday, the financial terms have yet to be released. But it's reported as Race Trac's largest purchase in its history.
The family owned and operated Race Trac started in 1934 in St. Louis. They would relocate to Atlanta by 1976.
The new deal, when finalized, will expand Race Trac's branding into at least 40 states.
