United Way of Hall County is preparing to start its 2025 campaign and is planning a kickoff event this week in Gainesville.
The event will be Tuesday, April 22 at the Gainesville Civic Center from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Jessica Dudley, president and CEO of the organization, said the event is not necessarily a fundraiser, but rather an opportunity to talk to community members about issues they can look to address in 2025.
"It's the time to rally together, talk through some of the issues that we see here in our community, and then really look at how we can make lasting change," Dudley said.
United Way raises funds throughout the year for various nonprofits in Hall County, addressing issues including health, education, and reducing poverty.
"Our mission at United Way is really to unite people, organizations and resources to improve lives in our community, and we recognize that it truly does take each and every one of us pouring into that to make change happen," Dudley said.
