Search underway for two suspects believed to have caused $4K in property damage

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday issued a “Be on the Lookout” advisory after reports came in that two males had caused “significant damage” to a home construction site.

The two unidentified males were seen on June 3 at a home construction site at 1220 Gold Mine Road, Dawsonville. During the suspect's time at the site, it is believed they caused approximately $4,000 worth of damages to the property.

"We believe we're looking for two white males, possibly teenagers, or at least younger in nature," Sgt. Matthew Blackstock said. "These males, based on photographic evidence, damaged some materials within the property. I believe it's going to be a sealant that they busted and got spread throughout the area."

Investigators with the sheriff’s office are still working to identify the two suspects.

Both males were described by officials as being white with brown hair. Images of the two suspects walking toward the property can be seen in the above photo gallery.

Authorities ask anyone with information on the case to contact Lt. Misty Harbin at (706) 344-3636 or email at [email protected]Those wishing to submit a tip anonymously can call (706) 265-4744.
