OAKWOOD, Ga. — Krofton Montgomery is back for his sixth season at The Hot Gates and is hoping the 2023 season will be one in which the Spartans are ready to make a move in Region 7-3A.
West Hall returns 15 starters -- eight on offense, seven on defense -- and Montgomery is hoping the lumps a young 2022 squad took will translate into experience this season.
We stopped by practice this week to catch up with the Spartans and Montgomery, as well as defensive coordinator Jimbo Hale, who are the first area coaches of the upcoming season to grab the mic in our Mic'd Up series.
