Towns County Sheriff's deputies made four drug arrests in a two-day span earlier this week.

In a social media post, sheriff's office officials said investigators received information that led them to perform a search on a residence Monday. During the search, investigators reportedly found oxycodone, marijuana, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Kyle Brandon Kittinger, age 33, and Mellissa Joy O'Keefe, age 28, both of Hiawassee, were arrested at the scene. They both face charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects. Kittinger also faces a county of simple battery.

On Tuesday, officials said a K-9 alerted on a vehicle during a traffic stop on Ga. 76 in Young Harris. Authorities said a search of the vehicle yielded methamphetamine and other drug-related objects.

Tonia Elaine Huggins, age 34 of Blairsville, and Kristi Michelle Sloan, age 33 of Suches, were both arrested at the scene. Both face charges of possession of methamphetamine with Sloan also facing charges of intent to distribute a controlled substance.

All four people are currently in the Towns County Detention Center.
