Candler Road just south of Gainesville was shut down for around an hour and a half Wednesday night due to an injury crash.
Georgia State Patrol officials said the accident happened at Candler Road's intersection with Oakbrook Drive at around 7:40 p.m. when a Jaguar sedan driving south went into the northbound lane and hit an Acura SUV. Both drivers were injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
In a social media post, Hall County Sheriff's Office officials said the roadway was completely shut down for around two hours and at least one lane remained closed until 9:20 p.m.
The crash is still under investigation.
