Gwinnett County firefighters seeking information on recent fire in Lawrenceville

Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services issued an alert Thursday morning in hopes that the public can provide information on a fire that damaged six homes Sunday afternoon in Lawrenceville.

According to a press release from the agency, firefighters responded just before 4:30 p.m. to the fire in the 100 block of Springbottom Drive SE.

Arriving crews found a large area grass fire that had damaged the exterior siding on six homes and a wooden privacy fence on a seventh property.

There were no injuries reported and the fire did not displace any families in the affected homes.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the grass fire or the person(s) responsible to contact Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section at (678) 518-4890.
