The North Georgia Technical College Foundation awarded $23,860 in scholarships to students enrolled at the college for the 2023 spring semester.
The scholarship assistance ranged from $200 to $1500 per student and included tuition and fees, books and dormitory fees.
“The Foundation at North Georgia Technical College awards numerous scholarships thanks to so many generous donors in our community who want to make technical education possible for students who need extra financial assistance,” NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing and Executive Director of the Foundation Amy Hulsey said in a press release.
Scholarships are offered for all semesters to students in various programs at all three NGTC college campuses in Clarkesville, Blairsville and Currahee. Scholarship applications for the summer semester are currently open and can be viewed at northgatech.edu/foundation. The deadline for summer scholarship submission is April 27.
The NGTC Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, created in 2000 to enhance educational opportunities at North Georgia Technical College. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of trustees.
The NGTC Foundation raised more than $36,000 last November for their very first National Day of Giving campaign for student scholarships. The mission of the Foundation is to create awareness of the financial needs of the college and encourage donations of resources to assure quality education for its students.
