BUFORD, Ga. — The Buford boys and girls tennis teams knocked off Peachtree Ridge on Wednesday at Buford City Park.
Both teams won 3-1.
James Troutt, Myles Carbis, and Brent Sherman swept the singles matches, and Luke Clark and Owen Sampers captured the No. 2 doubles match with a 10-5 tiebreaker set.
On the girls' side, Taylor Aycock and Hannah Davidson picked up singles wins, while the No. 1 doubles team of Abigail Foretic and Ella Place sealed the match with a 10-8 tiebreaker set.
This weekend, Buford (4-3) will compete in the South Forsyth Invitational.
In Loganville, the Flowery Branch boys (3-4, 2-0) knocked off Loganville 4-1, with Brayden Jackson, Logan Magnuson, and Logan Huntsman winning in straight sets during singles play. In doubles, Josh Warren and Ty Weatherley won 7-5, 6-2.
On the girls' side, No. 2 singles Katie Martin was the lone win for the Lady Falcons (4-3, 1-1) as they fell 4-1 to Loganville.
