Some Northeast Georgia-area teams will jump into their region schedules on Friday while others will play some key Copa 985 matches.
Chestatee in Region 8-4A and Habersham Central and Jackson County in Region 8-6A will get their quests for the playoffs underway. The War Eagles will travel to Walnut Grove while the Raiders will head to Bethlehem to take on Apalachee. Jackson County travels to Shiloh as well.
But the marquee matchup of the night will have Gainesville traveling to The Dungeon to take on Johnson in their annual showdown. Both boys teams come in undefeated overall and undefeated in Copa 985 league play.
West Hall and East Hall also will play key Copa 985 matches at Valhalla on Friday.
