Towns County Christmas Parade is rescheduled for a second time

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

The third time should be the charm for parade enthusiasts in Towns County this coming Saturday.

The Towns County Sheriff's Office WILL hold their Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 16.

This time around, according to the Towns County Sheriff's Office Facebook post, the schueduled parade will happen, "come snow, rain, sleet or shine", after a second straight weekend of rainy weather forced its postponement.

The Sheriff's Office says that they will be marching down Main Street at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th from their staging area at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, at 4:00 p.m.

More details can be seen on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
