Buford man remains at large in October homicide

The Gwinnett County Police Department announced Thursday morning they have charged a Buford man following a homicide in the area in October

According to a press release from the agency, Rodericus Jackson, 33, of Buford, was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in the Oct. 16 shooting death of Quentin Cantrell, 35, of Buford.

The agency said Jackson's whereabouts were unknown as of the last report.

Police responded to a home on Allen St. in Buford at about 3 a.m. on Oct. 16. Officers found Cantrell inside a parked vehicle at the home with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The investigation is still active.
