The Gainesville City School System has announced its 2023-2024 recipients of the Teacher of the Year award.
Each city school submits its choice for top teacher. and among this year's honorees, Mundy Mill Arts Academy fourth grade teacher Ana Hortman.
Ms. Hortman will receive a $10,000 award from the Doug and Kay Ivester Foundation for the honor, while others from the Gainesville City School System chosen as their school's Teacher of the Year will receive $500 awards.
