The Georgia State Patrol arrested a man from Lula on Wednesday, Sept. 14 after a high-speed chase and manhunt in Banks County.
Kadin Carlan, 25, was taken into custody without incident.
GSP troopers saw a motorcycle around 8:08 a.m. traveling on GA-15 at a high rate of speed. According to the GSP, troopers activated emergency lights and tried to pull Carlan over but he turned right onto Otis Brown Road.
The chase continued down Otis Brown Road, and Carlan continued to allegedly drive at a high rate of speed.
GSP Troopers lost sight of Carlan’s motorcycle and recruited the assistance of the Banks County Sheriff’s Office in a manhunt. A property owner found Carlan’s motorcycle with his helmet and jacket.
GSP Aviation was requested to help find Carlan, but the Banks County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 Unit ultimately tracked Carlan down.
Carlan was picked up on the road by a co-worker, and the K-9 Unit found him at a business in Baldwin. He is being held at the Banks County Law Enforcement Center.
