Hall County Planning Department to offer extended hours

By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

The Hall County Planning Department will begin offering extended hours of service starting in August.

In a release, county officials said the department will now be open to the public until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It had previously only been open until 4:00. The opening time for the office will change from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30.

Hall County Planning and Development Director Randi Doveton said he hopes the new hours will provide better service to county residents.

“Hall County Planning & Development staff members are committed to providing the highest level of service to citizens. These expanded hours will allow our staff to meet the needs of the public, which is crucial as the County continues to grow and prosper,” Doveton said.

The planning department's office has been temporarily moved to Hall County Government Center's lower floor as renovations are ongoing on the third floor. County officials say once the work is finished, the office will move back to the third floor.
