After falling to Madison County, 3-1, in the semifinals, the Lady Falcons rebounded with an impressive 3-0 win over Jefferson in the consolation bracket to secure a No. 3 seed in next month's state tournament.
Singles Sandra Hernandez (6-2, 6-1) and Avery Mary (6-0, 6-0) captured wins against Jefferson as did the doubles team of Violet Shultz and Richney Nguyen won in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) to help the Lady Falcons to third place.
No. 3 singles Katie Martin won the Lady Falcons' only match in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-3.
Meanwhile, the boys couldn't muster a win in the semifinals, falling to North Oconee, 3-0, and losing, 3-1, to Jefferson in the consolation bracket to earn a No. 4 seed in the state tournament.
