ALPHARETTA — The Lakeview Academy girls soccer team clinched their seventh consecutive state playoffs after taking an 8-0 win over King’s Ridge Christian on Wednesday.
Sara Nivens led the Lakeview rout scoring four times. Annie Nivens added two goals and Millie and McKenna Filson each scored one for the Lady Lions (7-3, 4-2 Region 6-A Private). Annie Nivens, Millie Filson, Sara Nivens, Lauren Scott, and Pavani Reddy each had assists for Lakeview.
The Lady Lions defense also recorded its fourth shutout of the season.

The Lady Bears set up a huge showdown for first place in Region 7-3A with a big win on Wednesday.
Keeper Avery Fowler and the Bluff defense recorded their sixth shutout win of the season.
Class 3A fourth-ranked Cherokee Bluff (12-3, 4-0 Region 7-3A) next will play host to No. 3 Lumpkin County (12-2, 5-0 Region 7-3A) on Friday in a battle for the top spot.
On Wednesday, Alyssa Stringer recorded the hat trick to lead the Lady Bears. Kaitlin Cook had 2 goals and 1 assist, Ellie Sutulovich added 1 goal and 1 assist, and Sophie Recinella scored 1 goal for Cherokee Bluff.
Genesis Gamez had 2 assists and Abigail Essex, Layne Hammond, and Kaitlyn Vasil each had 1 assist for the Lady Bears.

The Lakeview boys dropped their second straight shutout loss in Region 6-A Private action.
The Lions (4-5-3, 2-3 Region 6-A Private) next will travel to St. Francis on Friday.
