BUFORD — The Buford tennis teams swept South Forsyth on Tuesday in non-region action at Buford City Park.
The boys took a 4-1 win while the girls squeaked out a 3-2 victory.
For the boys, Dean Kingsley and Leyton Grothe both took straight-set wins in singles while the the No. 1 doubles team of Miller Troutt and Brent Sherman and the No. 2 team of Matthew Maurer Luke Clark also took straight-wins.
For the girls, Hannah Davidson won at No. 3 singles while Kylie McCammon and Marigrace Crossett at No. 1 doubles and Delaney Clark and Abigail Foretic at No. 2 doubles helped the Lady Wolves pull out the victory.
Both Buford teams improved to 2-1 on the young season. They will play again at Mill Creek next Wednesday.

GAINESVILLE 1
The Lady Falcons swept the singles to beat the Lady Red Elephants at Longwood Park.
Sandra Hernandez, Avery Marx, and Katie Martin all took straight-set wins. The No. 2 doubles team of Haley Bursinger and Violet Schultz also won in straight sets.
Gainesville’s win came at No. 1 doubles with Katie Willis and Ava Davis winning in straight sets as well.

The Falcons edged out the Red Elephants in a non-region match at the Flowery Branch Courts.
All five matches were straight-set victories. Branch got wins at No. 1 singles from Santino Sengson and from Josh Warren at No. 2 singles. Gainesville’s Kamyaab Cornett took the win at No. 3 singles.
In doubles, Gainesville’s No. 2 team of Jacob Nguyen and Reed Slack won while the Falcons’ No. 1 team of Mason Foreman and Logan Magnuson won for the tiebreaking win.
