Several regions will get their treks to the state playoffs under way this week with some big region matchups on tap.
Regions 6-7A, 8-6A, and 8-A Public kick things off with some important showdowns. Gainesville will open region play on Thursday at City Park against West Forsyth. Buford and Habersham Central get going on Tuesday.
Habersham travels to Dacula and Buford plays host to Shiloh in 8-6A while Towns County travels to Lincoln County in 8-A Public on Tuesday.
Perhaps the biggest non-region match will be West Hall heading to Johnson for the Battle of Oakwood on Friday.
Beginning on Thursday the White County girls are playng in the Lakeshore Shootout in various venues around the Birmingham, Ala. area.
