Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock will visit Gainesville Sunday afternoon to hold a rally ahead of Tuesday's Senate Runoff election.
Warnock's campaign team said he will speak at St. John's Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. However, a social media listing states the event begins at the church at 1:30 p.m., an hour prior.
The address for the church is 741 E E Butler Pkwy, Gainesville, GA 30501.
Warnock faces Republican challenger Herschel Walker in the runoff after neither candidate secured the majority of the vote in the Nov. 8 election. Walker obtained 48.5% of the vote, while Sen. Warnock pulled in 49.4%. Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver garnered 2.1% of the vote.
Democrats have already secured control of the senate at 50 seats with the addition of Vice President Kamala Harris' tie-breaking vote. Should Warnock win re-election, the Democrats will gain a seat in the senate, giving them 51 seats.
Walker held a rally in Gainesville on Nov. 17 several weeks prior to the runoff. South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham joined Walker at that event.
