GAINESVILLE — Lanier Christian Academy was scoring 60 points per game coming into Friday night's game against Johnson Ferry.
Johnson Ferry's defense changed that stat, holding the Lightning (3-1) to just one touchdown en route to a 14-6 win over LCA at Cabell Field.
It was the Lightning's first loss of the season.
But LCA led 6-0 late in the fourth quarter until Johnson Ferry cashed in back-to-back LCA turnovers for touchdowns. LCA's defense, however, still hasn't allowed a touchdown this season.
Zeke Clanton led the Lightning with 88 yards rushing and 41 receiving yards. He also hauled in LCA's only score.
