Officers in Lumpkin County are currently searching for an "extremely dangerous man" in the Mt. Olive Church Road area in Dahlonega.
 
The Sheriff's office urges people in the area to lock up their property and call 911 if they see anyone entering.

Reward up to $50k for information in shooting death of Oconee County RaceTrac worker

The reward for information in the murder of an Oconee County RaceTrac worker is up to $50,000.

The suspect was captured on surveillance footage the night of the victims death wearing all black and a face mask. 

Agencies continue to encourage members of the community to reach out to authorities if they have any more information.

Hall County to amend code regarding speed tables

An amendment is being considered that would allow the community to be a part of the process of installing speed bumps in Hall County. 

The amendment was proposed after several homeowner's associations in the county contacted officials asking for instillation of speed tables in their neighborhoods. 

The second reading, public hearing and final vote is scheduled for July 22.

New health insurance program helps Gwinnett County inmates reentering society

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office made an announcement earlier this week about an innovative way they are helping inmates reentering society.

It was announced by an advisor with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Wednesday that inmates leaving the jail will be able to sign up for health insurance before ever leaving the building. 
This program is the first of its kind in the United States.

Atlanta LB Mingo charged with indecency with child in Texas

NFL linebacker Barkevious Mingo, who is currently with the Atlanta Falcons, has been arrested in Texas on a charge of indecency with a child-sexual contact, police said Saturday.

Arlington Police said in a statement that the agency could provide no further information about the investigation, citing “the nature of the charges and age of the victim.”
