New vehicles approved for Lawrenceville Police Department

The city of Lawrenceville will be getting new police vehicles. At the last city council meeting, new police vehicles were approved to be delivered with all the lights, equipment, radios, cameras and decals already installed and ready to be put into service. Council members approved up to $600,000 for the vehicles.

According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the contract was awarded to low bidders Union City Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, Family Ford, Inc, and Hardy Chevrolet Buick GMC for their respective brands of vehicles. The final price for each vehicle will vary depending on the make, model, and equipment installed.
