More than two dozen northeast Georgia area soccer teams for both the boys and girls -- 30 to be exact -- advanced to the Georgia High School Association playoffs.
The first-round action begins on Tuesday and runs through Friday.

Seven teams come into the state playoffs as region champions. On the girl's side, Buford (Region 8-6A), Lumpkin County (Region 7-3A), and Rabun County (Region 8-2A) sport No. 1 seeds. For the boys, Johnson (Region 8-5A), East Hall (Region 8-4A), White County (Region 7-3A), and Union County (Region 8-2A) also will be playing host in the opening round.
Both Cherokee Bluff teams finished as No. 2 seeds in Region 7-3A and also will play host in the first round. The Union County girls also finished second in Region 8-2A and will host in the first round along with the Panthers on the boy's side. The Riverside Military Academy boys also will have a first-round home game.
The Flowery Branch girls and Jefferson boys also took second in Region 8-4A and will be at home in the first round.
