The schedule is lighter but packs a big punch on Tuesday and Wednesday for northeast Georgia area soccer teams.
But the rain and winds that rolled through north Georgia on Tuesday made it even lighter as several key matches were postponed, especially in Region 8-4A.
Jefferson was playing host to Flowery Branch as all four teams, boys and girls, were ranked and battling for top spots in the region. Those matches have been postponed to a yet to be determined date. The same for a pair of key 8-4A games in Valhalla as East Hall was set to take on North Oconee.
In Region 7-3A, White County and West Hall, which had three ranked teams in Class 3A combined, were forced to move their matches to a later date as well.
The Johnson boys, after a rough start, are inching up the rankings. The Knights are sixth in Class 5A. They will head to Apalachee in a key Region 8-5A match.
Only 15 matches were on tap for the two days combined but several involve ranked teams and first place showdowns for their respective regions.

Seventeen area teams are ranked in the latest Eurosportscoreboard.com poll, up slightly from last week's total number of teams.
The Commerce girls in Class A Public remained at the top spot with the Towns County boys sitting at No. 2 in Class A Public. The Buford girls in Class 6A held steady No. 2, as did the second-ranked Flowery Branch boys in Class 4A. The Jefferson girls moved up to No. 3 in Class 4A. The Branch girls are fourth, the Jefferson boys sixth, and the Chestatee boys eighth in Class 4A.
Class 3A has the biggest contingent with six teams in the top 10. The White County boys and Cherokee Bluff girls both are fourth, the White County girls are fifth, and the Lumpkin County girls sixth. The West Hall boys are eighth and Bluff boys ninth.
In Class 2A, the Union County boys are ninth and in Class A Public the Towns County girls also are ninth.
