Tennis: Buford sweeps Winder-Barrow in 8-6A

WINDER — The Buford boys and girls tennis teams both took 5-0 sweeps over Winder-Barrow on Tuesday in Region 8-6A action at Victor Lord Park.

Both teams remained unbeaten in Region 8-6A play. The boys (4-4, 2-0 Region 8-6A) dropped just six games collectively. Dean Kingsley, James Troutt, Matthew Maurer all took wins in singles dropping just one game.

The doubles teams of Leyton Grothe and Nic Keller and Eugene Oh and Luke Clark both took straight set wins losing just four games.

For the Lady Wolves (5-3, 2-0 Region 8-6A) dropped just seven games as a team.

Taylor Aycock, Callie Perkins, and Berkley Clark lost just four games in straight set wins in singles.

The doubles teams of Kennedy Deloach and Kylie McCammon (No. 1) and Taylor Ryzcek and Sophie Brewer (No. 2) both took straight set wins.
