Hall Co. School District names locations for vaccine clinics

By Lauren Hunter Multimedia Journalist

The Hall County School District has announced the locations for its free COVID-19 vaccine clinics next week: Lakewood Baptist Church and Free Chapel in Gainesville.

The clinics will take place on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12. Lakewood Baptist Church on Thompson Bridge Road will serve as the location for the clinic on Thursday, while Free Chapel on McEver Road will be the host of the second clinic on Friday, according to a press release sent by the district.

In a press statement sent out earlier this week, Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield said that all district employees would be eligible for a free vaccine. The clinics are a partnership between the school district and the District 2 Department of Public Health.

Employees will be receiving dosages of the newly-approved Johnson and Johnson vaccine, however Schofield said that dosages of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available upon request. Employees are encouraged, but not required, to get a vaccine at one of the clinics.

Employees have already been notified of which of the two days they will receive their vaccine.
