FLOWERY BRANCH — The Flowery Branch girls and boys tennis teams swept Madison County on Thursday at home.
In girls' action, Alyssa McSpadden (6-0, 6-3), Sandra Hernandez (6-1, 6-1) and Julianna Velaj (6-0, 6-0) won in straights in singles play. The Lady Falcons split in doubles action, Avery Marx and Savannah Regnier split the first two sets (7-5, 4-6), forcing a deciding set. The pair took the extra set, 6-3.
The Branch boys also rolled through singles play, Will Hernandez, Jack Thomas and Caden Caldwell shut out Madison County in all six sets, 6-0. Josh Warren and Grant Anglin, No. 2 doubles, won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
