CARTERSVILLE — Chestatee went on the road and got a big win over Class 5A Cartersville, 3-1, on Friday night.
Jesse Nunez scored goals and Eric Ortega one as the War Eagles (2-0) built a 3-0 lead by halftime.
Ortega got things going with a penalty kick goal in the 17th minute. Nunez scored on a through ball from Adrian Montejano in the 23rd minute and added another goal 10 minutes later on a breakaway in the 33rd minute.
Bryan Duran had 3 saves and allowed no goals. Nathan Ibarra had 5 saves allowed one goal.

The Bears got their first win of the season with a shutout of Lakeview Academy at home Friday night.
Garrett Wayne, Hunter Wilton, and Harrison Carter each tallied a score for the Bears (1-1).
The Lions fell to 0-1-1 on the season with the loss.
Bluff next will play host to take on unbeaten Buford on Tuesday night.
