Search, traffic stop nets 5 drug arrests in Banks, Habersham counties

North Georgia drug agents seized over $8,000 worth of drugs and made five arrests following a search warrant and traffic stop in Banks and Habersham Counties.

15 grams of heroin, illegal narcotics, pills and firearms were recovered, along with several thousand dollars, during the search warrant at a Alto home on Grant Mill Road and during a traffic stop in Cornelia on Highway 365 during the "several months-long" drug trafficking investigation.

Christopher Kyle Lee, 21, of Alto; Jennifer Sullivan, 34, of Baldwin; Erica Bergman, 31, of Dacula; and Marina Whitaker, 29, of Clarkesville all face possession of methamphetamine charges. Lee and Thomas "Tommy" Gannon, age 31 of Alto, both face charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Gannon also faces trafficking methamphetamine, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of oxycodone.

Whitaker also faces possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of heroin with intent to distribute.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Habersham County Sheriff's Office and the Banks County Sheriff's Office worked together on the case. More arrests are expected.
