Seven brush fires in Baldwin brought under control

Banks County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a reported grass and woods fire on Highway 441 Monday. 

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday on Highway 441 near Old Highway 441 in Baldwin. 

Once they arrived, units found about a half-mile long area with seven brush fires active.

Baldwin, Habersham County, Georgia Forestry, and the Cornelia Fire Department responded and brought the fires under control.

The incident was resolved by 2 p.m. with no injuries reported and no structures damaged.
