Local author Propes to sign inaugural novel at Aug. 13 event

By AccessWDUN Staff

Gainesville author Renee Propes is holding a special book signing event on Aug. 13, 2020 for her very first novel.

Propes, retired from a career in accounting, has been an active member of the Atlanta Writers Club, as well as a 2019 fiction award winner with Northeast Georgia Writers. Her first novel, duplicity, A Story of Deadly Intent, is described as a southern literary suspense novel. According to her website, she actually began writing the novel when she was 35-years-old and finished it after her retirement.

Even though the book was released earlier this year, she had to hold off on a public release of the book because of the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Propes is ready to officially unveil her novel at book signing at The Little Ladybug, 1185 Thompson Bridge Road, Gainesville. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13.
