By Dean Dyer WRWH Radio
A 66-year-old Cleveland woman has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a man in White County Tuesday.

White County Sheriff’s Capt. Clay Hammond said the sheriff’s office responded to 32 Happy Hollow Road south of Cleveland after receiving a 911 call.

When they arrived, deputies found the body of Mitchell Smallwood, 41.

Hammond said Rita Joan Sanders-Luse was arrested and charged with Smallwood's death. At last check, she remained in the White County Detention Center with no bond.

Hammond said the White County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are conducting a joint investigation of the incident. He did not say what might have motivated the shooting.
