The Georgia State Patrol received word Friday that a man injured in a single vehicle crash in Cumming on Thursday has died from his injuries.
Troopers from Post 37 in Cumming said Bobby Chaffin, 68, and Judy Chaffin, 68, both of Dahlonega suffered "visible injuries" in the single vehicle accident on GA 9 at Clay Creek Falls Drive.
According to the state patrol, it appeared Bobby Chaffin was driving the 2015 Nissan Murano westbound on GA 9 when he traveled off the roadway and hit a culvert.
Both people were taken to an area hospital, however, Bobby Chaffin succumbed to his injuries Friday. Judy Chaffin's condition was not immediately released.
