A man who suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle wreck in Dec. 2023 in Habersham County has passed away from his injuries.

Habersham County said Charles Edward "Ed' Stockton, 80, of Habersham County passed away Wednesday.

Stockton was injured in a three-vehicle wreck on Dec. 21 on U.S. 441 at Talmadge Drive.

He had remained in the hospital since that wreck.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Stockton’s family and friends during this very difficult time,” said Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire.

The Georgia State Patrol previously told AccessWDUN that Stockton was driving a Chevrolet C150 north on U.S. 441 and reportedly failed to stop at the red light. The vehicle struck a Toyota Rav 4 as it was crossing U.S. 441. The C150 then hit a GMC C4C as it was crossing the intersection as well, according to authorities.
