Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier spearheading mobile COVID-19 testing event this week

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier will partner with District 2 Public Health officials for a free COVID-19 testing event Wednesday, May 20.

Anyone who desires a test - even those with no symptoms - is eligible for the free testing from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Joseph F. Walters Club at 2094 Memorial Park Drive in Gainesville. Testing will be done on a drive-through and walk-up basis. 

In addition, members of Corinth Baptist Church in Gainesville will distribute free canned foods as long as supplies last. 

For additional information on COVID-19 testing, call District 2 Public Health at 770-531-5600 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
