A Gainesville man was killed when his car struck a tree in East Hall county early Wednesday morning.
Roland Juarez, 28, was apparently coming around a curve on Timber Ridge Road when he traveled off the roadway on a curve, according to a press release from the Hall County Sheriff's Office. Then, his 1998 Buick Park Avenue began to spin uncontrollably and hit the tree.
Sheriff's Deputies and Hall County Fire Services responded to the call at Miller Lake Road at 12:15 a.m. Officials said Juarez died at the scene.
Sheriff's officials said Juarez was not wearing his seatbelt and was alone in the vehicle.
Next of kin has been notified, and the accident remains under investigation.
