Union County rolls over Towns, 60-7

BLAIRSVILLE — Union County won its 20th straight game with a 60-7 rout of mountain rival Towns County Friday night at Mike Colwell Memorial Stadium. 

This one was never close as the Panthers led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. 

Union (2-0) extended its lead over the Indians (0-2) to 28-0 off a Pierce Allison touchdown pass to Kyle Morlock with 11:24 to go in the second quarter.

The Panthers led 48-0 at half time.

Allison hit three different receivers, Sawyer Drake, Morlock and Mason McCombs and rushed for one score to lead the Panthers in the stat column. 

Union County travels to Fannin County Friday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Towns County is off.
