DAHLONEGA — Junior Taylor Malasek scored twice as the University of North Georgia women's soccer team scored four unanswered to take a season-opening 4-1 win over Limestone Thursday afternoon at the UNG Soccer Complex.

After the Saints scored in the fourth minute, North Georgia equalized on a Meredith Tucker redirection shot off a pass from Olivia Dumphy in the 43rd minute. The Nighthawks took the lead for good in the 53rd minute when Abbie Crane put home a cross from Jazmin Adlam to take a 2-1 lead.

Malasek got in the scoring column in the 86th minute when she fired a left-footed shot across the frame to the far post off a cross from Dumphy. Two minutes later, Maysoon El-Shami sent a ball up field to Malasek, who beat the Saint keeper with a one-touch shot to bring the match to its final score.
