By AccessWDUN staff

Ken Rearden, the director of public works for Hall County, has resigned his position, the county announced Friday, one of several personnel changes being made.

"We appreciate Ken's leadership and expertise in the realm of public works and for the advancements that he made for Hall County and its citizens during his tenure here," Administrator Jock Connell said in a news release. Reardon has been public works director since 2008.

Srikanth Yamala, director of planning and zoning, will serve as acting public works director. Sarah McQuade, planning manager for the county, will serve as acting director of planning and zoning. Both will serve in their temporary positions until a replacement for Rearden is selected.

The county also said Zach Propes will replace Lisa Johnsa as assistant county administrator of operations when she retires at the end of 2019. Propes currently is director of financial services.

Dena Bosten, former chief financial officer for Dawson County, will succeed Propes. Both Propes and Bosten will officially assume their new jobs on Jan. 1.

"We are excited about these significant steps in our preparation for Hall County's future," Connell said. "We have thoughtfully and carefully designed a team of individuals that can continue to skillfully lead this organization as Hall County navigates unprecedented growth and development."
