Habersham EMC scam alert

By AccessWDUN Staff
Habersham EMC says some of its members have received telephone calls stating their power will be disconnected unless they make a payment through the caller or by calling a number provided by the caller.

The electric co-op says its members should hang up at once and report the call to their local law enforcement. Do not give out any personal information.

If HEMC members have questions regarding their accounts, customer service representatives can be reached at 706-754-2114, 706-865-4362 or 800-640-6812.
