A Gainesville man is jailed for allegedly putting a rifle to a woman's head Wednesday morning.
Hall County Sheriff's spokesman Derreck Booth said Thursday, the incident happened on Saddle Club Road. He said the woman heard gunshots near her home and drove to investigate if everything was alright.
Booth says when she talked to the man, Johnny Joe Reynolds Jr, 38, Gainesville, he put the gun to her forehead and threatened to shoot her.
Booth said the woman disarmed Reynolds and drove away to call 9-1-1.
Reynolds was taken into custody and he is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.
