A woman suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a Gainesville Police Department vehicle Tuesday night.
Information released by the police department said officers had been called to Atlanta Highway to investigate a domestic violence call around 9:15 p.m. The woman was in the roadway at the time she was struck. The woman was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.
