Gainesville, Pendergrass teenagers killed in Saturday wreck

Two teenagers, one from Gainesville and the other from Pendergrass, were killed in a traffic accident Saturday afternoon in Jackson County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck happened about 1:45 on U.S. 129 at the Pendergrass Flea Market.

Troopers say Najely Bonilla, 17, Gainesville, the driver of one of the vehicles, and a passenger in her car, Elena Regalado, 16, Pendergrass, died in the crash.

They report that Bonilla was attempting to make a left turn from the flea market.  When she pulled into the roadway, her car was struck on the driver's side by a pickup traveling east on U.S. 129.    

The pickup driver, Cole Alexander Bruce, 18, Jefferson, and a passenger in the truck, Sammy Lee Bruce, 44, both of Jefferson suffered minor injuries.
